(Eleven Nights Twelve Days)

Day 01 – Airport – Anuradhapura (Approx. 170 Kilometers)

On arrival transfer to Anuradhapura en - route stop at a stall and enjoy the taste of some tropical fruits. (Approx. 04 hours’drive)

Anuradhapura city became the Capital of Anuradhapura Kingdom in the 4th Century BC. It remained as the capital city for 15 centuries and was a prominent political and trade center in South Asia during this period. Ruwanwelisaya, an ancient stupa, is revered by the Buddhist community. Thuparamaya enshrines the collarbone of the Buddha and is considered to be the first dagaba, or pagoda, built in Sri Lanka. Lovamahapaya also known as the Brazen Palace is between the Ruwanvaliseya and Sri Maha Bodhiya. Jetavanarama is the largest stupa in Sri Lanka. As well as these beautiful places there are other stupas and relics, soaring over the vast acres of paddy fields in the area.

Day 02 – Anuradhapura –SS – Trincomalee (130 Kilometers including Sightseeing)

After breakfast leave to the Anuradhapura Sightseeing

The Sightseeing will include:  -
Abhayagiri Dagoba,
Ruvanvelisaya Dagoba,
Jetavanarama Dagoba,
Isurumuniya Vihara.
Ratnaprasada,
Sri Maha Bodhi,
Mihintale                                     

P.M - After Lunch proceed to Trincomalee.

You will spend the overnight at Trincomalee.

Day 03 – Trincomalee – Pigeon Island

After breakfast proceed to Pigeon Island boat tour and Relax on the beach. 

Pigeon Island National Park consists of two small islands off the east coast north of Trincomalee . The island gets its name from Blue Rock Pigeon, a native endangered bird who lives within the rocks in these islands. The islands were declared a sanctuary in 1963 for the purpose of protecting these birds. In 2003 this area was upgraded to the status of a National Park and the boundaries were extended to include coral reef around them. The islands are situated about 1 km off the Nilaveli coast in Trincomalee District. This Pigeon Island National Park has one of the best remaining coral reefs with high live coral cover in the country and is an ideal location for scuba diving and snorkeling.

Day 04 - Trincomalee - Polonnaruwa -  Habarana (Approx. 160 Kms)

After Breakfast leave Polonnaruwa . the 2nd capital of Sri Lanka. En – Route visit Koneshwaram Hindu Temple. Koneswaram Hindu Temple is a classical-medieval Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva in Trincomalee, Eastern Sri Lanka

The Sightseeing will include :

Council Hall and Royal Bath,

Hindu Temple
Thuparama Vihare –the only ancient Buddhist Temple in Sri Lanaka with it’s roof intact.
Vatadage – A Circular Image House

Parakrama Buddha Statue 

Thereafter proceed to Habarana.En – Route visiting a Wood carving place.
You will spend the overnight at Habarana..

Day 05 - Sigiriya (Approx. 20 Kilometers)

After breakfast leave to the Rock Fortress of Sigiriya. 

This UNESCO world Heritage site, a spectacular Rock Fortress, is one of Sri Lanka major attractions. The most impressive facets of the unique complex are the Water gardens, the Frescoes of beautiful maidens, the Mirror wall with ancient graffiti, the lion platform and the summit of 1.6 hectares, which was completely covered by buildings during the period of sigiriya glory.

P.M - Optional – P.M – After Lunch visit the Minneriya National Park by 4*4 jeeps.

Minneriya National Park is a national park in North Central Province of Sri Lanka. The reason for declaring the area as national park is to protect the catchment of Minneriya tank and the wildlife of the surrounding area. Large numbers of Sri Lankan elephants are attracted to grass fields on the edges of the reservoir during the dry season. Elephants gathered here is numbering around 150-200, sometimes 700.

Day 06 - Sigiriya - Matale - Kandy (Approx. 90 Kilometers)

After breakfast leave to the Rock Cave Temple Dambulla.

Dambulla – one of UNESO World Heritage Site, is the largest and best-preserved cave temple complex in Sri Lanka. The rock towers 160 m over the surrounding plains. There are more than 80 documented caves in the surrounding area. Major attractions are spread over five caves, which contain statues and paintings. There are a total of 153 Buddha statues, three statues of Sri Lankan kings and four statues of gods and goddesses.

Thereafter proceed to Kandy en –route visiting a Spice garden & Matale Hindu Temple.

Kandy a lovely city, the Hill Capital and last stronghold of the Sinhala Kings retains an aura of grandeur, which time has not affected. Encircled by hills, with a tranquil lake in its center, it is the site of the renowned “Temple of the Tooth” and the Royal Botanical gardens home to one of the best collections of Orchids. Kandy and its satellite villages are the center of the island handicraft industry and its traditional dances are the most spectacular in the country. 

Late evening, we will be Visiting   the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic. Also known as Sri Dalada Maligawa, this golden roofed Temple houses the relic of Lord Buddha’s tooth. After that you can enjoy an entertaining Kandyan cultural dance.

Check in to the Hotel. You will spend the overnight at Kandy.

Day 07 - Kandy - Sightseeing - Pinnawala (Approx. 90 Kilometers)

After Breakfast do the Kandy City Tour & proceed to Pinnawala elephant orphanage.

Day 08 - Kandy - Nuwaraeliya (Approx. 80 kilometers including Sightseeing)

After Breakfast proceed to Nuwaraeliya via Ramboda.

On the way discover the view of Tea bush view point and clime the Ramboda waterfalls. You will go through Nuwara Eliya where you will stop at the tea plantation and a tea factory on the way.

Nuwaraeliya is the heart of Sri Lankan hill country.It Is the home of the famous Ceylon Tea and the rolling mountains are a
carpet of velvety green tea plantations,interspersed with gusbing streams and tumbling waterfalls.The salubrious climate,misty glens and the decidedly British character make Nuwaraeliya a must on any Sri Lankan travel itinerary.

Late Evening, we will be visiting the Gregory Lake. This was built in 1873 and is the most prominent attraction in Nuwara Eliya. Visitors come here to spend some time by the lake and relax. This place is famous for its water sports activities.

You will spend the night at a hotel in Nuwaraeliya.

Day 09 - Nuwaraeliya - Ella (scenic train to ella)

After breakfast we will be visiting the Gregory Lake. This was build in 1873 and is the most prominent attraction in Nuwara Eliya. Visitors come here to spend some time by the lake and relax. Thisplace is famous for its water sports activities.

After that proceed leave to Nanu Oya railway station and board the Train to Ella.

The rail ride from Kandy to Ella is known as one of the most scenic train trips in the world. This memorable journey commences from Nanuoya, the last royal capital of the country to Ella a peaceful, scenic village in the central highlands of Sri Lanka.

This tour takes you on a scenic train ride through the beauteous mountains of tropical Sri Lanka. Embark on the train ride
from the City of the Kings, Kandy. Feast your eyes on the colorful scenery and interesting villages passing by. Experience Sri Lanka's natural beauty at its best. Disembark at Ella and finish your tour with a walk through the delightful little town there.

Ella, often described as ‘’lonely planet’’ and ‘’waterfall’’ is a congested town located in Sri Lanka. Ella is pure natural beauty, with its waterfalls, greenery, and hills it is just jaw-dropping. It has views that one hasn’t witnessed before, scenes one hasn’t seen before and nature one hasn’t felt before. Ella is the perfect place to go to if one wants to refresh the brain. It has many famous places and has been under the attention of tourist for a decent amount of time now. 

You will spend the night at a hotel in Ella.

Day 10 – Ella – Sightseeing – Tissamaharama (Approx. 90 Kilometers)

After breakfast, you will be going to sight-see in Ella, often described as ‘’lonely planet’’ and ‘’waterfall’’ is a congested town located in Sri Lanka. Ella is pure natural beauty, with its waterfalls, greenery, and hills it is just jaw-dropping. It has views that one hasn’t witnessed before, scenes one hasn’t seen before and nature one hasn’t felt before. Ella is the perfect place to go to if one wants to refresh the brain. It has many famous places and has been under the attention of tourist for a decent amount of time now.

You will visit the Little Adams peak which the eye catching, jaw dropping and conspicuous peak is the one not to miss, Situated in Ella. and the Nine Arch Bridge in this day.

After Lunch check out and proceed to Tissamaharama, (near Yala National Park) On your way In the misty mountains of tropical Sri Lanka,

The wide Ravana falls gushes down a height of 82 feet falling from an oval concave rock. It takes the form of a drooping areca flower during the peak season of its water flow, but its size is reduced dramatically during the dry season. 

You will spend the night at a hotel in Tissamaharama.

Day 11 – Tissamaharama – Mirissa (Approx. 120 Kilometers)

Early morning goes for a Safari by Jeep to Yala National Park.

Yala National Park is the most visited and second largest national park in Sri Lanka. Yala combines a strict nature reserve with a national park. Divided into 5 blocks, the park has a protected area of nearly 130,000 hectares of land consisting of light forests, scrubs, grasslands, tanks and lagoons. Two blocks are currently opened to the public. The park is best known for its variety of wild animals. It is important for the conservation of Sri Lankan elephants, Sri Lankan leopards and aquatic birds. 

P.M - After Lunch leave to Mirissa. Afternoon relax on beach Mirissa is one of the main beach destinations in southern Sri Lanka. The area has it all, beautiful beaches, surf waves, whale watching and great bars and restaurants. Mirissa is developing quickly over the last couple of years so it’s also getting more crowded. There are still enough spots where you can enjoy a fresh coconut from your hammock seeing the sunrise.

Relaxing at a hotel in Mirissa the rest of the day where you will spend the night as well.

Day 12 – Whale Watching – Galle (Approx. 40 Kilometers)

You will go for a dolphin and whale watching in the morning. 

The Whale and Dolphin watching in Mirissa are one of the most thrilling water activities in Sri Lanka. The warm waters around Sri Lanka are ideal to spot blue whales, Bryde´s whales, sperm whales, fin whales, common dolphins, bottlenose dolphins and sometimes killer whales. Spinner dolphins, Risso’s dolphins, and striped dolphin can be seen too. The whale watching season starts in November and ends in April when the waters are warm and calm. Whale watching boats can ideally carry up to 40 passengers at a time with an observation deck. Whale watching tours usually start around 7.00 am as boats leave the harbor around that time and last about 3.5- 4 hours. 

After lunch leave to Galle. On the way you could view the Stilt fisherman which is unique to Sri Lanka. And also Turtle Hatchery on the Southwestern coast of Sri Lanka. Learn more about the five endangered sea turtle species that come to the shores of Sri Lanka to nest. Learn how the Turtle Care Program helps protect the nests until they hatch and
increases the chances of survival for the babies. Get a chance to see, touch and feed baby turtles; or even injured adult turtles that the Turtle Hatchery cares for.

P.M – Sightseeing of Galle, including the famous Dutch Fort and the ramparts by foot. On completion of the day back to the hotel, relax and enjoy the amazing beach.

Relaxing and the leisure at the beach and spend the night at the hotel in Galle.

Day 13 –Galle – Airport (Approx. 150 Kilometers)

After breakfast at the hotel on your final day you will be dropped off at the Bandaranaike International Airport / any
location you want us to drop off you, concluding the end of the tour. 

Optional –After Breakfast at the hotel proceed to Balapitiya and go on lovely Boat safari in Madu River. Go on a wonderful
boat ride down the Madu River with its flourishing ecosystem. Pass through the secretive passages created by the mangroves. See the basking crocodiles and water monitors. Visit one of the small islands with its cinnamon harvesting natives. Enjoy the restorative qualities of the famous fish massage. Observe the water birds in their natural habitats.
